Safe room redesign

This term our class is redesigning the safe room so that we have a personalized room to work in.

I am going to share my idea. I have a kitchen and some desks in my design. I can't wait to see how our safe room turns out like.

The school Gala

On Sunday 8th of October the school gala was held and was a great success.

There were mini jeeps, abseiling, cupcake decorating, mystery jars, cultural food, candy floss, bouncy castles, touch rugby tournaments, live performances, dump the teacher, raffles, lollies, send ounce hand toys, and a smash palace.

I was in the touch tournament and we won 4 out of 4 games!

I did the mystery jar for 2$. They had six options with numbers on them. I got to chose a dice and then roll it and I won what ever number it landed on. I won lollies, a game, party balloons and water balloons.  

It was all so fun and I can't wait until next gala!

Class Dance Off

Last week our class did a dance off.

We got told to get into groups of four and then to make a small dance.

After five minutes two groups at a time got to have a dance off against each other.

At the end you would cheer for what group that ou wanted to go through and so the group with the loudest crowed of supporters would go through to the finals.

My dance group, The Sassy Sinyatas, got into the finals which hopefully will happen soon. 

I definitely want to have another class dance off.

My School Holidays

During the holidays I did heaps of fun stuff.

I jumped at Flip City the trampoline park, I adventured in Inflatable World, I danced at a birthday party, I concentrated while playing mini golf with my Nana and Brother in fielding. I also admired my nails as I got them professionally done with Gel nail polish, I swam tackling and pushing with my friends and I relaxed eating fish and chips at the beach with my family.

I did so much but hanging out with my Nana playing mini golf had to be my highlight.

Their was about 18-20 stations and I could never chose my favourite one.There were giant boots, large brick towers and small hotels. The best part about it was that I won 86-93 (who ever gets the smallest score wins and by the way my Nana watched she didn't play.) Hanging out with my Nana was fun for we got Mc Donald's, I meet my 6 week old cousin and like I said before we did some mini golf. 

I really hope we do it again. I had a great holiday and can't wait for the next.

The Trip to The Mind Lab

Finally after all the hard work making our products for our businesses we had enough money to go to The Mind Lab! Yesterday 21.9.15 we made our way by bus and car to Petone, Wellington. 

Just under 50 kids in one bus for 2 hours had got us determined to get to The Mind Lab quick so when we arrived we couldn't have been more happy. 

Yesterday was a great day and we had so much fun and learnt so much more things.

The activities we did were; 3D printing, Animation, Robotics and Technoligy and Art.

This is Melcom he and another person was taking us and helping us with all activities.

First we went to the 3D printing this is Melcom telling us how it works.

We had to design the print the way we want it to come out.

This is my design. I added a donut because they are yummy.

Next we made cardboard cars with CD wheels a battery powered mother so it moves, 2 straws, 2 squers and so colorful pipe cleaners. Our one failed so we couldn't race it😔😏.

We also did animation. Mine was about a blob that melted and another one of mine was about acid rain in the kitchen they also failed like the car did. In this room we also used paper tin foil and wire to control Mario from the game Mario on the computer instead of using the keyboard it was very cool.

And last of all people made Swiggle Bots that are made from plastic cups, colored pens, rubber bands and a motor.

Sadly it was time to say goodbye the best time for the last photo!!

Our New Business

In our class GRi11 we are all starting businesses hoping to raise money for a trip to Mind lab in Wellington!

My group is making Tyre Ottomans and our company is called Creative Colours.Inc.
